Wingate HOA

WHOA
The purpose of Wingate Homeowners Association (WHOA) is to promote neighborhood awareness and involvement in Wingate. The Homeowners Association mission is to maintain the unique character of Wingate by enforcing the covenants.

WHOA sponsors a 4th of July picnic and parade, Spring Neighborhood garage sale, Holiday Lighting Contest, and the Annual Spring and Fall meetings.

HOA Board and Regular Meetings
The Wingate Homeowners Association is guided by an elected board of up to seven volunteers who live in Wingate. Board members receive no compensation and volunteer because of a mutual desire to maintain the livable quality of the neighborhood.

The HOA board members conduct business on the first Wednesday of each month (except July/August) at 7:00 PM at a volunteer board member's house. The board is responsible for proposing a budget for approval via homeowner vote, reviewing architectural proposals, reviewing requests for tree removal, and facilitating communications between neighbors to foster amicable resolution of disputes, among other activities. If you wish to attend an HOA board meeting, please email to wingatehoa@gmail.com to learn the location of the upcoming meeting (location dependent upon Board member host home availability).

The Board maintains and publishes a Wingate address and telephone directory annually with a map of the neighborhood, including trails. A hard copy of the Wingate Directory is available to all dues-paying HOA members upon request. However as we modernize, strive for conservation and attempt to reduce material costs, hard copies may no longer be provided.

The Board also aims to increase awareness and seek enforcement of the neighborhood covenants.

Any resident may run for election to a board position. To do so, please email, call, or attend the annual Spring Meeting which is held at Serene Lake Elementary School Library.

Wingate now has Venmo and can accept dues payments at user name “WingateHOA” (which shows up on Venmo as “@WingateHOA”).

This will make paying the annual dues of $75 more convenient.

Please recall the only source of funds for anything the HOA wants to accomplish is your dues- only $75 per year.
(That's correct- only $75 per year!).

If you haven't paid annual does, please know we are trying to increase the number of HOA members to increase revenue to allow the maintenance and improvement our entrance signs (including lighting), as well as to enhance plantings at the entrances, and improve the hardscaping.
